Safety on Point2

What we check before an operator can accept a request, what you can do during a trip, and what happens when something goes wrong.

If you are in danger, call 112. Point2 does not contact the police or emergency services on your behalf.

How operators are checked

  • Every operator verifies their identity with their NIN and a liveness selfie.
  • They submit the licences, vehicle details and insurance their service needs. Point2 reviews them before they can accept requests.
  • Operators whose documents expire are taken offline until they upload valid ones.
  • An identity already registered to another operator is refused and reviewed for fraud.

To be clear about the limits: Point2 does not currently carry out criminal-record checks or physical vehicle inspections.

During your trip

Check before you get in
Match the plate, vehicle and operator photo in the app before you get in or hand over an item.
Share your trip
Send a live link to someone you trust. They can follow the trip in a browser without the app or an account, and the link stops working when the trip ends.
Deliveries and cargo
Drop-off is confirmed with a PIN.

The SOS button

  1. During a trip, tap SOS in the app.
  2. Your location goes to the Point2 safety team and is texted to the emergency contacts you have saved.
  3. You get a notification when our team has acknowledged it.
  4. If a customer raises an SOS, the operator's account is suspended while we review what happened.

Save your emergency contacts in the app before you need them.

Standards for everyone

  • Harassment, threats, violence and discrimination are not tolerated, from customers or operators.
  • Everyone follows traffic and safety laws.
  • Operators keep valid licences, documents and a roadworthy vehicle.
  • We investigate reports and may suspend or permanently remove accounts.

Report a problem

Report it from the trip in the app, or in Account → Help & Support. You can also email support@point2.app or call 0811 233 6839.

The full rules are in the Service & Safety policy.
